As the radar image below shows the storms were quite localised. The southern Suburbs and peninsula were not even aware of their passing. I was lucky enough to be able to see their passing quite clearly, but no rain fell from these storms at our place south of Meadows while falls totalling less than 2mm fell elsewhere. Fires were started in varios ag centres including Ngarkat NP where development the following day of pyrocumulonimbus was observed and reported by local CFS fire brigades.
