The Segment
The story begins one march day when an email arrives
from a fellow ASWA
member, Ian
Holton, informing me that Melody Horrill from channel 7 Adelaide
was interested in doing a story on "stormchasers" So after
much coordination, Easter monday 2005 saw Melody and her Cameraman,
Tim, rock up at our place for some filming. A few hours and a lot of
fun later the footage was had and the wait for the final cut began.
A few pics of the day can be seen from the link below

The Segment
In
the lead up to the airing of the story, advertisments on both television
and the radio could be seen and heard. The segment finally aired during
seven news on thursday the 7th april. Although short (approx 1and a
half minutes) it was an excellent job by Melody and her team!
A compressed version of the segment can be viewed below. If the embedding
of the video does not work then follow the link to launch it directly

Feedback
from the segment was fantastic proving just how many people actually
take notice of whats on the television. It also shows the power of television
prime time.
Channel Seven put up some contact links and a short description of the
story on their website as can be seen from the screen shots below.
This
was on the seven news home page.
