The 6th saw us receiving 49.5mm for the 24 hours.
Most of which fell in just a few hours in the afternoon.

All up from this series of fronts nearly
100mm over the week.
The wind was very damaging with nearly 12 hours
of extended gusts exceeding 75km/h and a maximum gust of 116km/h! It
was off the scale of my weather station graphs.
Damage was reported from most areas ranging
from Metro Adelaide to Strathalbyn. Some areas east of the ranges most
notably in the Cambrai, Sedan Districts where duststorms raised havoc
completely burying a cemetary, cutting raods and in some cases dirt
was piled up against houses above window height! I was also told of
a possible tornado in the Onkaparinga Hills where trees were knocked
flat in a straight line while surrounding scrub remained untouched.
While out for a drive on the 6th around the Echunga
area soon after the heaviest falls all that you could see was water
everywhere! The Flaxley creek was awash, CFS were very busy in Echunga
itself and on the main rd between Meadows and Echunga. The heaviest
falls in that spot look to have fallen halfway between Meadows and Echunga
as the runoff from the Hack Range was quite impressive. But the killer
may have been at Scotts Bottom where up to 77mm was recorded!!! At first
I though "no way", but the Echunga gauge reports 60mm, and
the Clarendon wier was overflowing! A not too common sight anymore..
